MyFilmTeam is a leadership and coaching resource for communication leaders- anyone responsible for making films and videos, as well as leading teams of filmmakers. I help people confidently make great videos.
I got my start in filmmaking in 1994 and observed some common hiccups along the way that pop-up for people who work with filmmakers to tell their stories.
Most of these fall into the buckets of:
Strategy
Filmmaking process
Storytelling
Direction
Feedback
Contractor relationships
Team development
A treasure trove of resources are available online for filmmakers wanting to get better at their craft, but not much for those who lead teams of filmmakers or who spearhead “film communication” for their organization. That’s a tragedy because there is a sea of filmmakers and organizations whose relationships have been cut short because of a poor understanding of the process on both ends, as well as unrealistic expectations.
That is why I created MyFilmTeam.

I believe that companies will get a higher return on their investment in film assets, employees and contractor relationships if they learn more about the process and the people who are making “movie-magic” for them.
I also believe filmmakers can and should build rock solid business relationships by understanding their client’s strategies and goals instead of just focusing on the “art” of the project they bid. I love to help them start to think of how they can educate and lead their clients as they serve them.
Films and videos are a standard communication tool across the world. You can’t spin your wheels in this area as a business owner or leader in an organization and still get ahead.
Think of MyFilmTeam as your film team. I want to empower you to be winning at work and having fun making films.
If you would like to take the first step in making great videos and leading film teams, please give me a free call or send me an email. I would love to get to know you and learn more about what you would like to accomplish.
If you are still figuring things out and are not ready to say, “Hi!” just yet… I get it. I’m an introvert and tend to research and work things out in my head for quite a while before engaging others. Take your time. Even if we don’t connect and work together, I hope you find my posts here on the blog, as well as on YouTube and Instagram helpful and encouraging , as you grow in filmmaking and leading teams.
I hope to meet you soon!
