30+ Year journey in film & video
I’ve spent more than 30 years working in film and video—learning the craft, producing and directing projects, and building and leading teams.
Along the way, I’ve learned that making great videos is only part of the equation. Knowing where you fit, developing the right skills, and surrounding yourself with the right people can make all the difference.
In 1994, I stepped onto my first film set and was amazed to see how all the pieces worked together to create the story that would eventually unfold on screen.
After studying Cinema and Theatre at SMU, I spent more than 30 years working in film and video—from boutique production studios and freelance crews to television, corporate, museum, nonprofit, artist, and feature-film projects.
Since 2015, I’ve built and led an in-house filmmaking team at Watermark Community Church, hiring and developing filmmakers, managing resources, improving production processes, and partnering with organizational leadership.
That experience has given me a firsthand understanding of both sides of production: the creative challenges of making great work and the organizational challenges of building a team capable of delivering it consistently.
That’s why I built MyFilmTeam.
