What is the 90-minute Film Career Roadmap Session?

If you don’t know where to start or need a push to take the first step, this 1-on-1 session will reveal your 2-3 most realistic entry paths, recommended first job/roles, prescribed skills you need to develop, equipment & software you need (or don’t need yet), initial networking targets and a 90-day starting plan.

The session costs $250 and will be made applicable towards the 90-day Film Career Launch if you enroll within 14 days.

What is the 90-day Film Career Launch?

This takes what we cover in a 90-minute Film Career Roadmap Session and expands it to a 90-day private coaching program that includes 6 coaching sessions along with weekly career development assignments and a specified amount of email/voice support.

You will discover where you most naturally fit in, choose a realistic entry path, build your professional identity, and create a plan for getting your first opportunities. At the completion of the program you will receive a “next-90 days” roadmap to keep your momentum going.

The program costs $1,500. If you sign up within 14 days of completing the 90-minute Film Career Roadmap Session the cost drops to $1,250.

What is the Filmmaker Career Cohort?

The cohort gives you the benefits of coaching while adding a community of filmmakers working through similar challenges. You’ll follow a structured eight-week program, with practical assignments, accountability, and guidance. It’s a different experience designed to help you learn, make decisions, take action, and build your career alongside others.

One-on-one coaching is deeper and more personal. It’s the better choice when you have a specific challenge, need focused attention, or want to move quickly. The cohort is different; it’s part workshop, part coaching, part creative community. You are building a network along with your career.

The Cohort costs $895.

Can I put together my own group of people for a cohort?

Absolutely! This is especially a great situation for High School aged students so they can work with their peers.

In appreciation of your effort, you’ll get 25% off your fee if you want to organize your own group with a minimum of 5 filmmakers (but no more than 10).

I still need to follow up with each attendee to make sure they are a good fit, but this is a great way to start out your careers together.

Do I need to have some sort of experience or an education in film & video to work with you?

No! …but having experience at the hobby level would certainly be helpful. The most important thing is that you are passionate and committed to starting your career and willing to put in the development time. The coaching programs involve a considerable amount of work to make sure you hit your goals.

Can I hire you to do a 90-minute Film Career Roadmap Session with a group?

No, because of the one-on-one nature of the session it does not work with a group; instead I can put on a workshop for up to 24 people or give a talk to larger groups. If you have specific group in mind then let’s connect and we can determine what would serve them best.
