For more than 30 years, I’ve worked in film and video—starting in production crew roles and building a career in editing, camera, producing, directing, and leading teams.
I’ve also spent more than a decade hiring and developing filmmakers. That gives me a perspective from both sides: what it’s like to get started and what organizations look for when bringing someone onto a team.
I want to help you understand the opportunities available, identify where you might fit, and develop the skills and experience to take your first steps.

Do I need a film degree or previous experience?
No. You don’t need formal film education to begin pursuing a career in the industry. Some practical experience can help, but a willingness to learn, develop your skills, and put in the work matters more.
How do I know which filmmaking role is right for me?
That’s one of the first things we’ll explore. We’ll look at your interests, strengths, existing skills, and realistic opportunities to help you identify a starting point that makes sense.
Can I organize my own Filmmaker Career Cohort?
Absolutely. If you have a group of 5–10 people interested in getting started in filmmaking, we can discuss organizing a cohort. As the organizer, you’ll receive 25% off your enrollment. I’ll also work with prospective participants to make sure the program is a good fit.
How do I choose between the Roadmap Session, Career Launch, and Cohort?
The Roadmap Session provides focused direction and a starting plan. Career Launch offers ongoing, personalized coaching and accountability. The Cohort gives you structured guidance alongside other aspiring filmmakers. We can discuss which option fits your needs during your introductory call.
Can my Roadmap Session fee count toward Career Launch?
Yes. If you enroll in Film Career Launch within 14 days of your Roadmap Session, your $250 payment can be credited toward the full $1,500 program price, leaving a balance of $1,250.
Can you work with a school or larger group?
Yes. I also offer customized workshops for groups of up to 24 people and speaking opportunities for larger audiences. Let’s discuss your group’s needs and determine the right approach.
